Longboat Key Center for the Arts

I just recently started working at the Longboat Key Center for the Arts.  When I'm not setting up classrooms I've gotten to try my hand a graphic design.  I'd say it's pretty good for a first try.

I won the Altar Competition!

During our grand opening of Studio 14eleven there was an altar competition being held for the Day of the Dead as part of the Latin Festival this Art Walk.  I was fortunate enough to win 1st place in the contemporary altar category, yay me!  Check out the Village website (villageofthearts.com) to see the other winners, and more.

Big Imaginations Inc.

I'm working on environment & prop designs for a Chicago based company called Big Imaginations.  They're putting together a collection of educational children's entertainment.  There will be a Sesame Street-like show, a computer animated cartoon, and educational video games.  I'm not allowed to post the work I do until we get further into production.  But hey, I'm doing what I went to school for so WOOPIE!

Studio 14eleven

My wonderful girlfriend Perry Devick and I have opened a home studio/gallery.  We're calling it "Studio 14eleven", which is our address and it sounds pretty cool.  We'll be featuring our own artwork, cards, and gifts along with work from friends of ours.  Our Grand Opening will be held during November's Art Walk here in the Village of the Arts (Friday Nov. 7 6-10pm & Saturday Nov. 8 12-4pm)
